J/24 Fleet 87 Regatta NOR Posted
The NOR and entry form are now available for the rapidly approaching J/24 Fleet 87 Regatta – Florida State Series #1. This event is jointly hosted by Eau Gallie Yacht Club and Melbourne Yacht Club and will be sailed at the Dragon Point venue.

Planning Meeting for 2019 Brevard Sailing Schedule
You are invited to Melbourne Yacht Club on Thursday, Sept. 20th at 6:30 to create an all Brevard sailing 2019 calendar. This is an attempt to generate some cohesiveness among the area clubs to assure no conflicts arise between events and promote each other’s regattas or cruises.
There is a lot of opportunity to sail in Brevard County, sometimes too much. If we all can get together and promote our annual events and post our local events, we will more than likely have less conflicts and better participation.
Come meet the other Fleet Chairpersons from around the county, share your ideas, comments and suggestions
Please come and post and promote your events and we will work with the web site sailspacecoast.com to have a living 2019 event calendar.

2018 MYC 420 Dinghy Championship
The MYC 420 Dinghy Champion of 2018 was a tie between Commodore Gregg Kowalski with daughter Laura Kowalski and Will Moore with Suzanne Dunphy. Third Place was David Silverman with Megan Stark, Fourth Place Justin Tribou and Geoff Swain and Fifth was Bob and Carmen Patterson.
Congratulations to all who sailed in what were very challenging conditions.

Fall Youth Series Kicks Off In Less Than One Month
Young sailors from around Florida’s east coast will begin their fall series with a regatta hosted by the Melbourne Yacht Club.
The single day regatta will feature the Space Coast Sailing Team members as they kick off a very busy series, competing in five events in just three months. The series will move south after the MYC event, and regattas will be held in Ft. Pierce, Palm Beach, Vero Beach, and will finish in Jensen Beach on December 9th.
