Brevard Challenge Regatta

The oldest regatta in the county, the Brevard Challenge hosted by Indian River Yacht Club is one of the most popular regattas in central Florida.

Open to all monohull sailboats, competitors will compete for both the overall title and for the Rockledge Centennial Cup, which began in 1987 in conjunction with the town’s anniversary celebration.

The regatta consists of two days of PHRF handicap racing starting and ending in near Lee Wenner Park in Cocoa, and ranging south to nearly the Pineda Causeway.

The historic regatta has been held annually since the early ’60s, with the exceptions of 2002 when the park was closed for renovations, and 2018 when the park was damaged by a hurricane.  The event attracts competitors from every corner of the Space Coast.
